You must sign a form in addition to your contract that states that you did research all items for recall before drop off and are not bringing any recalled items to Looking Glass for resale.

Will it sell?

We want you to bring your best 100 items to consign with us! If you have had it more than 5 years, it probably will not sell.  Looking Glass also reserves the right to refuse any items that we either feel will not sell because of wear and tear or because they are out of date. This sale is a place to purchase clean up-to-date clothing and other items for children.

Tagging Items

Tag Items for Consignment

All consignors are responsible for checking online to see if any items they wish to consign meet current safety standards, no recalls will be accepted. If you knowingly bring a recalled item you will not be allowed to consign with Looking Glass in the future.

To check for recalls at and Consumer Product Safety Commission.

For Car Seats go to

Consignors are required to sign a form in addition to the consignor’s contract that states research has been done on all items to verify there are no recalls published. Do not sign this or leave items if you have not researched recalls.

Consignor Fees

Go to fees and donations page for consignor split and fees.

Pricing Items

The rule of thumb for item pricing is 1/3 of the original cost. Items will not sell if overpriced. Occasionally 1/2 the original price is a good idea, but only when an item still has the tags on it and is not outdated.

Make outfits! Many items will sell better if marketed together. A skirt and a top, or jeans and a polo are examples of outfits. This is especially true with infant clothing, outfits are best.

How to Tag Items

Watch the video to the right for all the tagging info you need and read this page including a sample tag below!

  1. We gladly accept tags from other sales but only if they hang vertically or if the tag is perforated.
  2. Use cardstock or index cards, no printer paper!
  3. Wire hangers only! No exceptions
  4. Please take time to sort items before arriving for drop off. Sort items first by gender order and then by size.
  5. Safety pin the index card tag, hanging it vertically from the item. Write in the middle of the card after skipping down about one inch.
  6. Whole dollar increments only; Workers round down for the customer. For example, if an item is priced at $1.50, it will sell for only $1.
  7. ND” means “no discount“. Tags may have it written out “no discount“, but other methods including “red dots” are not honored. There is absolutely no price alterations except half price on half price day. If a tag reads $20 but then has $15 written on it on half price day, it will sell for half price, not $15.
  8. The Consignor Number can be a number given to you by another sale or use your first and last initial and last four digits of your phone number. The registration page helps you create your consignor number.
  9. Please tag with numerical sizes. Please do not write “small, med, large” nor “tall, grande, venti” on item tags. It may help to think upon what size the child was when he/she wore the item.
  10. Tagging loose items:
    • Shoes should be bound together with string or in a ziplock bag with tag secured with safety pin or tape.
    • Books if grouped bound with string or in a ziplock bag.
    • Toys also in a baggie or large box with a picture of the item on outside. All pieces secured to or in the item.

About Us

My name is Stacey Long. I am the wife of my wonderful husband Greg, mother of 3 amazing girls, Lucy, Katie & Maddie and finally a consignment sale owner.  I say finally because I have dreamed about owning my own sale since my oldest was in diapers. I even turned my house into a consignment sale a couple of times.  Now that dream has come true by having the opportunity to purchase this sale. I am looking forward to seeing you at this next sale.
